Section Secretary General Hu Hongbing reported to the delegates on the overall operation of the tool industry in the first four months of 2017 and 2018. According to the statistics of the member companies, the annual growth rate of sales revenue for the small-scale industry of 2017 cutting tools in the first four quarters of the year was more than 20% year-on-year, which is a rare harvest year; the small measuring industry has an average annual sales revenue compared with the previous year. The 10% increase also achieved good results. In 2017, while the sales revenue increased, the total industry's total profit increased significantly, which represented a year-on-year increase of 62%, and the overall operating quality of the industry was significantly improved. According to statistics of the tool branch, the overall size of China's cutting tool market in 2017 was 38.8 billion yuan, an increase of 20.7% year-on-year; of which: domestic tools were approximately 24.9 billion yuan, an increase of 23.3% year-on-year; and tool imports were approximately 13.9 billion yuan. The year-on-year increase was about 16%, surpassing the best level of history since 2005. In 2017, the export of tool products of the whole industry increased by 20% year-on-year to RMB 9.6 billion, a record high since 2005. In 2018, sales in the tool industry remained positive. In the first quarter, sales revenue of the entire industry increased by 20% year-on-year, tool exports increased by 41%, measuring tool exports rose by 19.6%, total industry profits increased by 22.7% year-on-year, and the operating status of the industry continued to improve. . The report analyzes that although the tool market situation has continued to improve, the major challenges faced by domestic tool companies have not fundamentally changed, and the supply of modern high-efficiency cutting tools and precision measuring instruments that are urgently needed in China's manufacturing industry is still seriously inadequate. The phenomenon of overcapacity of measuring tools has not been completely reversed, and there is still a long way to go to adjust the industrial structure. The member companies should take the initiative to take advantage of the current good market situation, and work hard to develop more R&D and manufacturing of high-end and middle-end tool products and improve the service level of users. They should fundamentally improve the competitiveness of enterprises and promote the sustainability of the entire industry. development of.
